History
In 2007 relationships were formed between pastor Jared Omingo of the KIPRC, a small reformed church in Nyamarambe (Kisii) and the Dutch Wigcher Kamminga and Tonnis Groenveld. Jared was course participant, Wigcher and Tonnis teachers of the course given in the training centre of the MERF in Lokichoggio (North Kenya). See inserted picture. On the KIPRC see KIPRC.
These relationships grew deeper and intensified. Wigcher taught a course on reformed doctrine in Nyamarambe in 2008 (he passed away in 2010). Tonnis taught a course in 2013 see Faith for Life.
Financial support was provide from the Netherlands, among others, by the Free Reformed Church (GKV) of Sauwerd, Wigcher’s home congregation. They have among other things given support for the realisation of a church building. Previously church services were held in the open air. In the following years support was also given for the care and education of orphans, a KIPRC project.
Because of the increase in support (and money) the decision was made to set up the Together for Life foundation. The foundation collaborates with the plans and projects developed by members of the KIPRC.
